It's the same thing every morning. I get up and eat first thing because my stomach burns. Then it is pill time! i have to take these pills. You know it is the norm... Prenatal vitamins and a few extra. I decided along with the doctor, that I should bump up my vitamins because I am a little older carrying this baby then I was with Jagg. not that much older but about 4 years and let me tell you, I can tell a difference so far! Anyway I digress as I do with these pills. I get them out of the bottle, I set them down and we have a stare down.

All I think to do with them is this....

Ugh I hate these things but I'm thankful to HAVE to take them!

Speaking of baby... We are having another one. I'm elated! I forgot how miserable my body feels at first! Digestion, smells, queasiness, It's still early. 6 weeks in fact. I'll take it though!!! Here is our journey! Please enjoy.

I've got a new attitude!!

I have now decided that I am not only going to blog about Jagger but I think that I will start adding my thoughts and feelings about.....life!! It's a new attitude. I have a lot to say about life, well my life anyway.

I am at the first time in a while VERY content with my life which as everyone knows means something is going to happen!! hah. Well maybe not. I fell at peace with most areas of my life. My job is going well, I just celebrated my 1 year anniversary there. Jagger is getting past the horrific 3's. Really wasn't sure I was going to survive that one. Brian's biz is picking up a tad. Things are just even for now. The thought and talk about another baby has been happening. There are all kinds of thoughts on that one. On one hand it is nice having Jagger self sufficient but on the other hand he NEEDS a sibling to play with and lean that life is not all about him!!! Only child syndrome has seriously kicked in with him. He talks alot about having a sibling. I kind of have baby fever too!! Well now that that is out there I feel better. it is nice to get that off my chest.

Well as I say that Jagger is more self sufficient he is bugging me to come play so....... gotta go!!

I'm doing this for real this time! My last attempt to revive my blog! This is it! I figure with m iPad I might be able to do it regularly!

To start off the revival I will brag about Jagger! I put him to bed last night with undies on. I was tired of buying pull ups and decided that he needed to learn to get up at night to use the potty. I was prepared. New sheet by the door, new undies and jammies. I woke up to him in the bathroom at 1:30 using the potty then he woke at 9:00 dry as a bone! Not sure which was more pumped about the dry night or the late sleeping!!

Way to go jagg! Mom is so proud!

We were all out the morning playing when I told Brian that I was going to run in an check my email. Well a little bit later I came out and we were playing and Jagger started heading towards the door and looked back at Brian and me and told us he needed to go check his email!

A couple of weekends ago we were lucky enough to get a little piece of spring time. It was so nice. We all woke up and immediatly got dressed and headed outside! We went down to the "ducky water" (Big Spring Park) to feed the ducks and fish. Then off to Costco for a hot dog and then playing with our neighborhood pals!!!

Today is my granddaddy's birthday. He is turning 79!!! He doesn't read my blog but I really love my grandaddy so I thought I would wish a happy birthday in the blog world. This is a sad birthday for him because he is a twin and he lost his brother last year 6 days before their birthday.

He was VERY close to him. It was very neat to see 2 brothers so close. They spoke to each other EVERYDAY at 5:00. I am not kidding. EVERYDAY the phone would either ring at granddaddy's or Uncle Bubbie's house (That's what we called him) and it would be the other brother! SO neat. What made it even cooler that they were twins was that they had an older brother that died when he was 6 months old and then their mother got pregnant with twins! Can you imagine back then, they had no idea you were even having twins. When she was in labor my grandaddy came out and then the doctor said here comes another one and she said "no there's not! And then Uncle Bubbie was born!!! (TRUE STORY) Then the doctor named the second one after himself!! haha! Old days! Gotta love it!!

About 3 weeks ago we put Jagg in a big boy bed which was TOTALLY against my better judgement. He was doing fine in his crib but we (Brian) found this cute bed on Craig's list so we bought it and I was just dying to put him in it! I know alot of people say that their child didn't think that they could get out of a bed just like they couldn't get out of their crib! Well NOT Jagg! He was up and out as soon as we put him in. The first night we put him in it we (I) finally decided after an hour of him opening his door and throwing toys out in the hallway that we would put a doorknob guard on it so he can't open the door.

So the other night he was wanting to get out and I heard him talking at the door and this is what I see.......

Oh this child is going to be trip raising!

I am battling quite the sinus headache. One of those ones that when you bend down, your head feels like it is going to pop off your body! Well I did just that, I bent over to pick something up and as I stood up I said "oh man!" because of the pressure in my head and Jagger was around the corner and I heard him say " Gracious! Oh Man gracious!" What a mocking bird!!!!

Jagger and I met my grand daddy (Jagger's Great, that is what the great grand kids call him!) for breakfast. We met him at Shoney's and it was just nice to hang with him and visit.
After breakfast Jagger and I headed to Big Spring Park to enjoy the morning. Of course I grabbed my camera to test her out!!

Jagger has recently gotten over his phase of separation anxiety which has been a huge blessing! HOWEVER, now he is getting kicked out of daycare at the Y for hitting!!!! Yes that's right slapping to be exact. They use to come get me because he cried the whole time NOW they come get me because he has hit a child.

Oh these phases of life. I am in for it. My little Mike Tyson. What am I going to do with him?

I have been saving for a new SLR camera for about a year or so and drum roll please....... I finally got it. I am so excited. I got a little cash for my bday and was able to put that with the money that I have been saving and was able to get it. I got the Canon Rebel XSi. Brian also got me editing software to go along with it. I am so excited but a little intimidated by all that i have to learn. I will give myself grace and time! Stay tuned to new and improved pics!

My husband, sister and parents were able to pull of the surprise of the year! Well maybe not of the year but it was pretty good. They had a surprise birthday party for me last Saturday night which is pretty hard to do considering I knew my bday was coming up and I remind people of it OFTEN (just ask them!!) Anyway Brian was insanely calm and cool on EVER curve ball that I threw him to try to find out IF there was a party! It actually makes me a little scared on what else he could be hiding. Actually everyone that was there did a GREAT job keeping their lips sealed and lying about everything they were doing that night. It was a GREAT evening. Thanks to everyone who came!!

Today we started our first day of music class. It was a gift from a sweet friend who takes good care of us Richardson's!!
It was a lot of fun. Jagger seemed to really enjoy it. It is a very relaxed atmosphere which is so great. It is structured but without the rigidness. Does that make sense? I am really looking forward to seeing how Jagger will like it going forward now that he has been to it once.

Jagger is now trying to eat his meals with his spoon. It is actually very cute if you can get past the mess, which I have a very hard time doing. But alas I turn away and let him enjoy feeding himself and learning how to operate a spoon. Thanks to Manny clean up is not as bad as it could be!
It is cute because he dips the spoon in the food and then picks it up out of the spoon with his other hand and eats it. The problem with letting him feed himself is that he does it with grits and oatmeal.

The Richardson's are going green....

Well maybe not as green as others BUT I am definitely going go to start leaning towards "green" things. I had a huge revelation today. Long story so here we go. Last night I was watching a show on Discovery Health called "Mystery Diagnosis". It was about a little boy that was progressing and doing well until about 18 months. He began to loose the ability to walk and talk. He eventually was put in a wheelchair and is not expected to live long. The kicker was they had NO idea what was wrong with him. After a few years of tests and scans they finally figured out what it was (I can't remember the details) but they thought that the cause was something that he inhaled or ingested.

Ok fast forward to today. Jagger and I were on our way home from Publix (where we got the prize pictured below) and I had given Jagger my other set of keys to keep him happy and he was chewing on them. I thought to myself how gross and "ew that has to taste bad" then it hit me. There is no telling what is on those keys. I am usually pretty laid back about him putting things in his mouth. I always think well I know that my parents weren't over protected like that and I turned out ok (well...... kind of ok, you get the point). Then it hit me things weren't as polluted and were just different those days. We have done this to this planet. You see where I am going with this.

SO, today I proclaim that I am going to strive to be a little bit greener, if you will! I may not go ALL out like my best buddy next door BUT I will certainly make an effort! So there!

I plan on getting a few more of these little jewels! I actually got it free. I really had been wanting one for while.

PS I am going to make Banana bread with those ripe bananas!

Long Live Neighbors Night!!!

Since we have moved to Blossomwood (a little neighborhood in Huntsville), we have made close friends with our neighbors that live across the street and directly next door. We declared every Friday night that all 3 families are free we would have neighbors night! It hasn't happened as often as we thought but the times that it has happened it is always fun. The Cobb's live next door and they have a little girl that is 3 and a little boy (aka Jagger's best friend) that is 3 weeks older then Jagger. The Perry's (blog address to come soon because they just got that thing called the Internet at their house!! Can't hide money ;) have a little girl that is Camryn's age (2.5) and a little guy (aka Jagger's other best friend) that is 2 months younger then Jagger.

It is ALWAYS ALWAYS a blast when we all get together. The Lord really knew what He was doing when he moved us into this little rental house. We all became instant friends and they are all very dear to us now!!! We love you guys!!! :)

My niece, Camryn, came over last week and hung out with Jagger and me for a couple hours so that my sis and bro in-law could hang out and get a little rest. While at our house and after naps Camryn decided to teach Jagger how to jump in his crib. It was awesome. Jagger LOVED it!!!

Brian, Jagger and I were very blessed this past weekend to go on a very last minute unexpected trip to Seaside. We got to go down with our friends Graham and Sarah and stay at their place. It is such a beautiful little place to visit adn the weather was perfect!

Before we headed out of town to go on our last minute beach trip, Jagger and I went to the park to feed the ducks and the fish. Jagger REALLY liked the fish and the white duck that visited us. He would press his little lips together and give out a loud ooohhh! It was so sweet. We finally found a little spot that we could get close to the water without him having to get out of the stroller because I figured if he was content sitting there why get him out and risk him falling in the water!
As we were sitting feeding the fish, I kept handing little pieces of bread to Jagger and he would throw them as hard as he could. Sometimes they would make it and other times they would land on the area that we were sitting on. Then as I handed the bread to Jagg he began to eat it rather then through it. When he started to do this that is when I knew it was time to go home and eat lunch and take a nap!

I love to set Jagger up in the chair in the kitchen while I am cooking and give him a snack even though it ruins his appetite. Survival mood right?? Well He decided yesterday that he wanted the whole box of Cheese Its so that he could dig the crackers out himself. He is getting so independent! I sure do wish that he would go back to sleeping good at night again! YIKES! The last few nights have rocked my world! We are getting over a little cold and ear infection and he is cutting his bottom molars. It is hard to be little!

We had a sweet house guest the last few days too. BB (Brie) came to stay with us for a few days. She is Brian's cousins little girl. She was fun to have around. Jagger really enjoyed having her here. She is a good big sister too, seeming that she has a little brother and a little sister that she plays with all the time. She was very patient with Jagger!! Thanks again BB!!

I said that I would update more often, not everyday! I know what you all are thinking... "Oh she has already gotten behind!" Stop judging! Just Kidding. I am however a little behind. I meant to update the other night but forgot! i kind of got caught up in the bachelor with my neighbor. It is funny because neither of us really like it but I recorded it so we sat and watched it. Actually we used it more as a time to talk with no children around since we have come to realize it is IMPOSSIBLE to do with kids around!!
I did want to post some pics from Monday. A friend from college, who I haven't seen in years, has moved back from Korea. She has a little boy that is a little older then Jagger and we finally got together on Monday. It was very last minute but very fun and a nice change of scenery. We went to the mall and played in the indoor play area. It was fun to watch the boys run and play!

We had our first snow of the year and we missed it! Well we were here but Jagger slept in and we just didn't see it necessary to wake him for the snow. It was very pretty of course we don't have any pictures. I thought of taking them as I was sitting watching it snow but that is as far as it went.
We all took a nap around 9am and by the time we all woke back up the snow was gone!
Maybe next time we will get out in it.

I know that the new look is plain but I am starting a new, simpler way of thinking. I am trying to be a little sharper, a little "cleaner". Brian didn't like it. He asked if this was the temporary look until I get the new look up! aaa! Bust. I told him no. He thought that I needed something more. I want to put a pic at the top but they are always huge!! How do I reduce the size so that I can put it up there? help me anyone.

Also today will kick off my new "Friday Funny" It will be a pic or a story that I think is amusing, which I MUST warn you, won't always be funny to you I am sure. Brian gets a kick out of the fact that sometimes I think things are so funny that I can't even get them out of my mouth without laughing so hard and usually they aren't that funny!!!

Today will also start my new attempt to proof read!! Your welcome Brian. No promises though!!!

A thought for Thursday

My thought..... I am about to go CRAZY!!! I have been in the house since Sunday afternoon with the exception of going to Walmart on Monday and going out for 1 hour on Tuesday night with my neighbor for coffee. Other then that I have been home bound with a sick kiddo. Well today is the day. I am going out sick baby in tow!! :) Well he is feeling much better I think. In fact I laid him down b/c I thought he was tired and I hear him in the saying "No daddy" and singing "Tooty Ta" (look that up, it's a cute kids song). It is suppose to be pretty today so I think that we will run out Bridgestreet and get my sister something for her birthday. One more fun thing about being back in Bama is that I get to celebrate birthday's with my family.
oh also, I always love to post with a pic and since any pics that would go along with this post would be snotty and not pleasing to the eyes I thought I would post some pics that my neighbor took while out playing the yard a few weeks ago. which ALSO brings me to my first link http://erincobb.com/ She is my sweet neighbor who took the pics. ok we are alive!! I know it has been a while. Even our neighbors across the street have gotten onto me about not posting!!! My life I have decided is just boring or really busy, I can't decide!! SO what has been going on?
Well our child turned 1 yesterday. Happy Birthday Sweetness!! The party is tomorrow so we will post pics from that. My little bow business that I started has really taken off. I have also gotten into a little sewing. Pillowcase dresses and aprons for now! Next year we will set up a booth at the DZ craft show! Well...maybe we will! We were all over North Alabama for Thanksgiving. It was a great weekend. I was very thankful to be able to spend it with my family opposed to last year we were in Orlando and I was so far along pregnant to travel. ok well that is all for now because Jagger just threw up because he was eating paper..... Oh dear!

Halloween...what a scream!

What a fun Halloween we had. We had a little impromptu party and invited my parents over and my sister and her in-laws over. We ate a little dinner and did a little trick or treating. It was all fun and games until a scary masked scared the you know what out of my precious niece! Bless her hear, I have never heard her scream quite like that. It was fun but Jaggs wasn't into the trick or treating like I was for him. I think it was more about me showing off how cute he was! We were invited into one person's house so that they could all see little Yoda and Princess Leia!

In my opinion they were the cutest but I will let you make your own!!

UNA Homecoming 2008 = SO FUN!!

Brian and I went over to Florence for UNA's Homecoming on Saturday. It was SO MUCH FUN!! We had not been to a Homecoming since we graduated so this was just one more added bonus on living back in Alabama. We got to see so many friends that we hadn't seen in years. A lot of great faces that we have really missed.

It's been a while

Sorry it has been a while since I have updated. We have had a lot going on. Here is a run down. We moved into a rental house in Blossomwood which I am really thankful for. It is a little old house but we have GREAT neighbors that we have really hit it off with. The girl that lives right next door is mu age and has a little boy that is 2 weeks younger then Jagger and a little girl that is 3. The ones across the street have a 7month old little boy and a 2 year little girl. We all have a great time getting together. On a bad note we have had some bad luck. We got a phone call from our realtor in Orlando that someone stole our A/C unit, then we had a toilet that ran for a ling time or something and got hit with a $460 water bill!!! Then we have had some other random things happen!! However ever one is healthy and doing well. The lord will provide for that other stuff.
Oh yeah and Jagger is defiantly walking. This last week has been crazy. He takes about 6 to 7 steps and then lunges for me!! he is doing really good. Once he gets the confidence to do it he is going to be GONE-ZO!!!!

My precious baby boy in 9 months old today. I can't believe that he is already 9 months. I was driving home today and I was looking at him in the back seat asleep and thought to myself "this is the best job I have ever had." I started thinking about all the jobs that I have had over the years and though this is the hardest it is absolutely without a doubt my favorite. I mean I get to be with my son all day. It is hard and gets tiring. And sometimes I would love to take a "lunch break" but it is so great and I am so thankful that I get to stay home with him. Thank you Lord for providing a job for Brian that allows me to stay home and thank you to Brian for working so hard so that I can be home and raise our son.

Happy 9 months day to you Jagger!! I love you son!! :)

We took Jagger to the Orthopedist on Monday to check his foot and he said that it was fine. the doctor said that he was probably in the womb with his legs crossed and it was just use to being like that and it will grow so much that he felt certain that it should straighten out. We also went for his weekly PT visit and they said that everything that we are doing at home is working!!! YEAH!! It made me feel good that our work at home is paying off.

Really enjoying the time in Bama

So I have really began enjoying my time back here in Bama. It was a hard move to make but the Lord has really honored us being here. I have been able to see old friends that I haven't seen in years.

I went o Birmingham this past weekend and visited with a dear friend that I haven't seen since her oldest boy (Jackson) was a week old. He is now and 6 years old and she has a total of 5 BOYS now including 8 week old twins!!! Mandy Maddox Smith and I went to UNA together and she and I were in sorority together and her husband and Brian were fraternity brothers. I got to visit with her on Friday. She is unbelievable!! Her boys are 6,4,2 and 8 week old twins and she HOME SCHOOLS!!! YOU are my hero Mandy!!! :)

My reason for going to Bham was to attend a shower for my dear friend, Christy. She and I lived together before Brian and I got married. She was in law school with Brian and we had a BLAST living together. I am so happy that she is getting married. Chris is a lucky man!!! It was so fun to see her and spend time with her. She actually came over Saturday afternoon before the shower so that she could meet Jagger. He and I were staying with Brian's aunt. Christy and I just sat and talked and caught up. It was so great to be with her again after so many years of not seeing each other. I can't wait for her wedding. I know that it is going to be so precious!!!

Jagger ate his first piece of dog food yesterday. I knew that it would happen sooner or later. I noticed a piece on the floor when he was crawling by it but he didn't see it and I thought to myself "oh good, I need to get that before he eats it". Well of course I have a thousand things on my mind so I forget about it. About 30 minutes later I was standing in the kitchen and here he comes crawling in to find me but I hear him stop. So I looked around the corner and the dog food is GONE and Jaggs has a terrible look on his face. I picked him up, did a sweep in his mouth but it was too late. He had already swallowed it. I figured if he didn't choke on it no need to worry plus it may make his coat shiny!! Mother of the year!!

Physical Therapy for the Jaggster

Brian and I took Jagger to his evaluation today for physical therapy for his neck and they want to start seeing him once a week for a month. We were given some stretches to do with him but they are a little difficult due to the fact that he is so active!! We go back on Friday to see an OT and to follow up on today. They want the OT to look at his eyes and make sure that he is tracking correctly. They also want to look at his foot and possibly send us to a Orthopedic doc because his right foot turns out quite a bit. He did so good at the visit but I tell you what when it was over he had had it!! He was so tired and I think that his neck may have been a little sore from the stretching. Anyway I will update later on what Friday is like. I thought it was rather ironic because this week is the last week that I take my dad to Athens for PT and speech for the year. I next week I start to take Jagg!! No rest for the weary!! haha!!

I went over to Muscle Shoals/Florence on Friday despite not feeling well because a good friend of mine, Luke Retherford, who now lives in Florida, was in town. he and I have been friends for 9 years and have always stayed in touch despite moving and everything else life has brought. He and I met at Pier 1 where we were both managers. It was the summer before he started UNA and he ended up pledging the same frat that Brian is in. He also transferred to Alabama a year before I moved to Tuscaloosa so we have always been close in distance to each other. Anyway jaggs and I went over to see him and his mom. It was FUN TIMES. we went over to the campus and played around a little.

Where do I start! Ok so Jagger has not been sleeping the last 3 nights and that is just not like him. The first night I just thought it was an off night, the next night I started to think something may be up and called the doctor. They said that it may be an ear infection and I could come in if I wanted but I told her I would wait and see how that night went, well it was AWFUL!! Bless his heart he just laid in his bed and cried and moaned. I woke up this morning and called the doctor first thing. They said "can you come in at 8:30", I said "PUT US DOWN!!" I went without a shower and barely any make-up thinking that I would be in and out!!! ha ha I am so cute!!!
Well we get there and they check him out and said he has a mild or the beginning of an ear infection in one ear. The other ear looked great. So she wrote me our prescription and just as I thought we were on our way out the door the doctor comes back in and says that she was to do some x-rays of his neck. He has always favored one side more then the other. The doc in Orlando said that is how he developed in the womb. As he has gotten older it has gotten better but she still noticed it. So she first tested his eyes to make sure that it wasn't his eyes. Meaning one being stronger then the other so he would tilt his head to over compensate. That test came back fine. So off we went for x-rays. Well 2 hours later (3 hours including the doctors visit) we were still waiting for the results which they told me that I would be in and out!! I finally told the lady I had to go and they could call with the results. Well I went to get his meds filled and meet Brian for lunch and they called and said they needed us to come back. They hadn't gotten a good enough picture. I almost passed out!! Not really but I told Brian that I felt like crying!! I forgot to mention that I am sick as well and b/c Jaggs hasn't slept in 3 days neither have I!!
So back to the Imaging Center we go. They got us back there immediately and as soon as we were done the lady told me to wait right were I was she was getting a doc to look at them right then!! The results came back negative. They were looking for abnormalities in the neck and spine but all of that is fine, however, Jagger will have to have physical therapy!! AN 8 MONTH OLD!!! that is going to be a sight right there!! Wish us luck!!
After all of that we finally got home and I thought that Jaggs would be so tired so I tried to lay him down and about 5 minutes later I heard him making noises and this is what I find.....

Today is my dad's 54th birthday. As most of you know, we almost lost him last July and it has been a crazy year. Dad spent his last birthday in the hospital so this year is a special year. He wanted to go out to eat tonight with JUST my step mom, no one else!! He is so romantic! We are throwing him a bash on Sunday. It is a big day to celebrate. Thank you Lord for another year with my sweet dad!!!

I was in the kitchen on Saturday (Brian and my 5 year anniversary by the way!!) piddling around, and I turn around to get something out of the fridge and there is Jaggs!!! He is a moving man. Brian was in the living room and watched him pull himself into the kitchen. He doesn't get his legs underneath him yet but he does a good job at pulling himself where he wants to go. Once he figures it out he is going to be GONE!! I will have a hard time keeping up I am afraid. He is a man on a mission!!!
He is also pulling himself up as of today!

Also please keep praying that our house in Orlando sells. It is a great house at a GREAT price but the market is so bad there that it is hard. We know that the Lord will provide though!!

Jagger is such a big boy! He is sitting up on his own and just playing so much. Brian's cousin Millie gave us 2 bags of toys and he has been in heaven ever since. He will grab a toy and then knock the other toys around with that one. He is such a boy. He loves playing with Manny. Manny is very patient with him too. He get s a little tired of it but when he does he just moves away from Jagger. It's good for him. It keeps him young!

Fun week

Last week Brian and I watched his little sister Delaney. she is 9 years old and full of energy and life. We brought her home with us on Sunday night. Monday we swam, made a pizza, she played with Jagger and entertained him for me. We colored, and hung out and watched T.V. On Tuesday we went to the park and met my sister and her family there. Delaney and Camryn played on the playground and then we went to the mall. Delaney did the little bungee jump thing in the food court. She had a GREAT time doing that. I took her home to Muscle Shoals on Wednesday but not before we rode horses and swam a little more. We went over to Muscle Shoals and Jagger and I spent the night with Brian's parents. That was nice because they watched Jagger and I met an old friend for dinner. We rode around Florence a little and talked about old times. On Thursday we went over to Brian's cousin's house and had a great time. It was good for my soul to be with Millie and Becky Lynn. They are so great and we laughed all afternoon. They then talked me in to spending the night again and hanging out so we did. Finally Jagger and I came home on Friday afternoon. He was worn out. We put him to bed at 7:30 Friday night and he slept straight through until 8:30 Saturday morning!!! That was a change from him waking at 5:30 Friday morning!! It was a great week. I feel very refreshed. Jagger got to spend some time with Ken and Bev (Mime and Paw-Paw). He loves them. He would just sit int he recliner with Ken and just chill! He enjoyed Bev too because she talks to him so sweet and he just sits and watches her! It is precious.

So I think that my child may be a genius!! Just Kidding but for real he is pretty smart. My Uncle Lance loves for Jagger to get in the pool so he put him in today. I was holding him and my uncle started slapping the water with his hands and then he looked over at Jagger. Jagger looked down at the water and started to slap the water. My uncle did it again and Jagger did it. Every time my uncle did it Jagger would do it!! We thought it was funny! Maybe he isn't the next Albert Einstein but not to bad for a 7 month old!!!

Diaper Comparison

I just bought a package of the cruiser diapers and I think that I was in a little bit of shock when they fit Jaggs. I knew that the size twos were getting a little small but I never imagined that the size threes would fit!!! So I grabbed a few old diapers that I didn't use and compared them. I can't believe that Jagger use to fit in the newborn diapers and not only that but they were big on him!!! He is getting so big.

Concert in the Park

Last night we went downtown to Big Spring Park and went to the concert in the park. It is a thing that they have been doing every Monday night for the summer. It was such a pretty day yesterday that I just couldn't resist. We went and grabbed some dinner and threw out a couple of blankets and listen to the tunes! I think that Jagger had a good time being out side. We sat with some of our friends and their little boy that is Jaggs age. It was nice to be out and spend time as a family together. It is crazy that we are able to start doing that!!!

The Beach, a Tooth, and a special anniversary

As everyone can tell I am horrible at blogging! The whole reason that I started this was so that our family could follow along with the pregnancy and everything else, well we are now living closer and getting to live life with our families BUT we still have our O town peeps we are missing like crazy so I am going to try to get better. My family got to go to the beach the week before the 4th. It was great except that Brian didn't get to go. That was sad but we had a good time. We had my dad (in a wheelchair), my stepmom, step brother and his friend, my sister, her husband, her 2 year old, Jagger and me!!! It was a sight to see us coming. Wheelchairs and highchairs everwhere! It was an odd looking group but it was our group and we had a great time. We took dad to the Flora Bama on the last night. He and I got out there and danced. It was great. What made it really great was that on the 3rd of July was the 1 year anniversary of the stroke. We never dreamed that a year later we would be at the beach with him. Thank you Lord for the gift!!! On our way home from the beach I was letting Jaggs suck on my finger and I felt a little sharp something and I looked and there was a tooth!!! I had no idea he was even cutting it. He was so great. He never fussed, ran a fever or anything. No he is already on his second tooth! It has now reached the surface. I can't believe my baby has a tooth. In other news: our house in Orlando is still for sale. We are praying daily that the Lord with bring along a buyer that will love the house as much as we did. Please join us in praying!!!! The pool house is still great but it will be nice to get a place of our own!!!

Jagger had his 6 month appointment today. 6 months!! I can't even believe it. I told Brian that it REALLY just seems like the other day we brought him home from the hospital and I was like" Umm... What am I suppose to do with him???!!!!" :) Of course with today's appointment he had to get shots and that went over like a lead balloon. He was already ticked when we got to the doctor's office because he was tired and them they jabbed him 3 times for his shots and he lost it.

We also got his new stats and here they are:
Weight: 15.14 lb
height: 27 1/4 inch

He hasn't grown a whole lot since his last appointment but the doctor said that he is thriving!! YEAH! I was a little worried only because he doesn't really like formula any more. I have to put juice in it now for him to take it but the doctor said that was fine. It was a GREAT visit and she said that he was great!!! What a blessing. We have all been through a lot the last year but Jaggster has been so healthy and I am so grateful. It is amazing the feeling that you get when a doctor tells you that you child is healthy!!! Thank you Lord!

Fun Times

After about 5 months of living here we are finally starting to get connected. Last night we went to a cookout at one of Brian's fraternity buddies. It was crazy because just a few years ago we were all hanging out partying at 11 pm and then last night we were all hanging out with our children and come 8pm we all starting packing up to go home!!! My my how things change.

It was a great time to get connected with old friends. We didn't realize how many people lived in Huntsville. We definitely still miss Orlando but it was nice to be with old friends. Hopefully we will continue to hang out with them. I have also gotten connected with a friend of mine from high school. We weren't really close then but now she has a little boy that is 2 days younger then Jagger. She and I have been getting together and going to the park and sitting with the babies. We are also going to attempt to start working out this week together!!! We will see how that goes.

Trip to the Beach, Cousins and Mother's Day

As usual I haven't posted in a while. I am going to get better. I promise! We took our first trip to the beach with Jagger-Man. It was a great trip. He did so good in the car. We first went to Pensacola because Brian had a class to take so we took advantage of that and visited Brian's sister Melissa and family. It was so great to see them all. She has 3 boys if her own and they were into Jaggs until they realized that he is not that much fun for them at this point. They sat still long enough to snap a few pics and they were done-zo with that!! Melissa on the other hand really didn't want to give him back to us. I think she wanted to keep him for a while! I was thinking about it but realized that I would probably miss him too much!!! :)

The next day we headed to the beach and stayed at my grandparents condo. We never actually made it to the beach just to the pool which was good enough for us. The first day we got up and I fed Jagger, got his suit on him, lathered up with sun screen, got myself ready, blew up the float, packed our bag and got to the pool, we put him in the water and then 15 minutes later he was ready for his nap!!! AWESOME! We did go back a little later and he loved the water. It was a little cool but he still seemed to love it. I think he may be a little water baby! He did really well down there and actually took 3 hour naps. I guess he was relaxing and enjoying our little vacation.

We came back home on Saturday night before Mother's Day. Unfortunately we got caught in Birmingham by all the storms and tornado's so we ended up having to get a hotel room in Fultondale. It was a long weekend but we had a good time. We got home on Mother's Day and had a big shrimp boil with all the shrimp that we brought back from the beach. We had a great time and it was a fun first Mother's Day for me! It was especially nice being with my family and it was the first Mother's Day I actually got to spend with my step mom which was really great. Here are some pics from the weekend!!!

Today I took Jagger for his 4 month check up and the dreaded shots. When we got there he was already a little fussy because he didn't get a morning nap because we went to see my aunt before the appointment. By the time I go to the check in area and waited (after a lady cut in front of me when I turned around to deal with Jagg) he was screaming like crazy. A drug rep that was there was even looking around the corner to see why he was screaming! Anyway we finally got back in the room and we was great. Here are his stats: Head size- 30 percentile, weight -14lbs 22 percentile, length- 26 inches 91 percentile!!! Hilarious! I asked if that was OK him being skinny and long and the nurse told me it is like having the " Long Lean Model instead of the Short Chunky one". I am not surprised because Brian is so tall and I am so lean! JK
The doctor did say this has nothing to do with how he will be in the future. After all the measuring then the shots. He started getting a little fussy before they came back with the shots. They gave him a little sugar water, THEN....... wham-o!!! 3 shots! YIKES! He was ticked and stayed ticked for a while. I finally got him calmed down and he fell fast asleep and has been asleep now for 2 hours! Bless him. He was so mad. It was the first time, that my knees felt week and I was really upset because he was hurting. Well the circumcision was a scary thing too but this time he actually looked at me and cried. My heart broke and I was reminded of how in love I am with him.

I have not posted in so long! Little Jagger keeps me busy that is for sure. Nothing too exciting going on. I spent my first birthday in Huntsville in years. It was a lot of fun. My family had a party for me. The highlight was sitting on my dad's lap as he sang Happy Birthday to me!! The words were a little different but the tune was there!!! ha ha.

Jagger continues to grow like a little weed. He is really starting to show some personality that is for sure. He loves to be scared. It is so funny. I jump out in front of him and say "boo" and he laughs so hard!!! He has also discovered his thumb which he sucks often. It is good because it is always there when he wants to suck but it is bad because when he gets older it will always be there. Oh well, I guess I will have to get a part time job to pay for braces.

Jagger also had his first rice cereal feeding. It went really well. By the third time I fed it to him he ate it up!

I have posted a few new pics of him. I am thinking about venturing into the world of photography! We will see. Right now I have to prove to Brian and myself that I am serious about it.

We dont' have alot going on right now. Brian sat for the Alabama Bar this week. We won't find out until April 25 if he passed. Now like usual we sit and wait. Our life has been a waiting game for almost a year now!! Jagg and I are settling into our routine. He is getting SO BIG!! I can't believe how huge he is. We go to dad's on Tuesday's and Thursday's. It is sweet time for all of us. Dad loves to see Jagger. It is cool that Jagg gets to spend so much time with his "J-Pop". We are enjoying being in alabama. It was such a sudden move that we weren't sure how it would be but the Lord has been good to us as usual. we are closer to Brian's family too which is great too. Jagg will get to grow up with both sets if his grandparents close to him. Well that is really all for now. I am about to go get Jagg and feed him!! It's the new me!!! I am really loving it...now!! :)

Back to Bama

Well as most everyone knows Brian, Jagger and I have moved back to Bama so that I can be close to my dad and help care for him. He is dong alot better but still needs some help during the day. He is not able to talk and is still in a wheelchair but he is getting a little better everyday.
The move up here was very interesting but the Lord is good and everything was as smooth as could be when moving with a 4 week old 11 hours away! Our friends were wonderful and helped us pack up and my sister was amazing. She flew down to Orlando and drove my car home so that Jagger and I could fly home. That flight was so great. Jagger did amazing. He nursed and slept the entire time. It was scary flying with him alone but the people at the airport were so kind to me. When we got to Huntsville we were met by dad and Lisa. That was a sweet meeting. It was the first time that they got to meet Jagger. Lots of tears needless to say. I am so grateful that dad could meet little Jagger.
We are living at my aunt and uncles guesthouse. It is such a blessing. It is free and very nice plus it is right around the corner from my sister. We will stay here until our house in Orlando sells. We have settled in nicely and Brian started his new job last week. He is working and studying for the Alabama bar which is a challenge especially with having a new born in such close quarters. We are making it work though.

As most of you may know Jagger Marchall Richardson is here!!! He decided to come into the world 11 days early. On Monday Dec.10 I was having little signs all day that I could be in labor but I think that I was trying to avoid it. When I got home from work I was having some bad cramping feelings and thought that it could be labor but wasn't sure. When Brian got home he helped me count the contractions, they were very consistant at 5 to 7 minutes apart. As the night went on they came closer and closer. Finally, at 10:30 we went on a walk around the neighborhood (I didn't realize that Brian thought I was in labor but was just holding me off so that we wouldn't go to the hospital too soon). The contractions only got worse, but I didn't want to go the hospital because I wasn't sure I was in labor. We decided to try to go to bed, but after laying there for 10 minutes we decided to go to the hospital. So off we went not thinking that we would come back as a family of 3!!! Well we got there and they hooked me up and checked me and I was only 2 centimeters, but my blood pressure was high so they admitted me. The doctor broke my water and then things got rolling. About 2 hours later I got my epidural (oh sweet relief!!). They checked me again at 3:30 am and I was at 6 centimeters. Then all of a sudden Jagger's heart rate went down. That was scary but they gave me oxygen and moved me on my side and it went back up. They checked me again at 5am (after I insisted that I felt pressure) and I was at 10 centimeters. I started pushing at 5:00 on the dot, but after 25 minutes of pushing they made me stop because the doctor was still at home!!! I think Jagger came alot faster than they expected. I had to wait for the doctor for about 30 minutes. Once the doc arrived I pushed for about 20 more minutes and Jagger Marshall entered the world in all of his glory at 6:14 am, 7 lb 12 oz 20 1/2 inches.

Test Run...

Well we had a false alarm on Friday morning. I thought that my water may have broken Thursday night. I wasn't totally convinced but I wasn't sure what was going on so we decided to be safe then sorry and went to the hospital. It was a good test run and made me confident that when it does happen we should make it in one piece!!!! Brian was awesome. He didn't get nervous at all however it wasn't actual labor so everything may be out the window when it does happen!!!

It turned out to just be my body getting ready for everything so we went home just the 2 of us!!! Brian had put the car seat in the car before we left just in case! So now it is permanently in there. That is a reality check to see the car seat in the back! I can't wait to see a little baby head in there. It is going to be so exciting. I am less then 2 weeks from the due date and I am getting SO EXCITED!! I am going to be a momma soon!! That is so fun to say. I can't wait for the little booger to get here. It is going to be awesome. I am just as excited to see Brian as a dad then to be a mom. He is going to be so great! I love seeing him with babies. He is so big so to see him hold a baby is so sweet.

37 weeks and everything is looking good

I had my doctors appointment today and they did do an ultrasound and everything is good! Praise God! I was very excited to hear him say that he is head down and that everything looked good. He is not transverse and the doctor said that he doesn't see any reason that a C-Section would be necessary! I was very relieved to hear that. I am having a lot of contractions but they don't mean anything at this point. Things are still progressing and looking good but no big break through. That is good and bad. I am ready for him to come but still have a lot to do before he gets here. We are trusting the Lord on timing and just pray that we can see His will and follow it. These are the last few weeks. It is getting closer to game time!!!

This is my view when I look down! Manny thinks that my stomach is another pillow for him to rest on.

36 week appointment

I had my 36 week appointment on Tuesday. It was pretty uneventful which is good and bad at the same time. I was hoping that they would say that I was on my way but she said that my body has "started" to prepare but not a running start. That is ok though. I can wait. She did say, and I quote, " He is no peanut". GREAT! I thought to myself I should have thought of this 9 years ago when I met Brian. I wish that I would have had someone say to me, " now think about how big your babies will be!!" JK. I figured he would not be a small baby.

The doctor is a little concerned about the position that Jagger is in. They said because of the way that I am built, being short wasted, that he is just crammed in there. I go back on Monday for my next appointment and they may do an ultrasound to see what he is doing in there. I pray he is not running out of room and that he is in a good position. I am praying that I do not have to have a C Section or anything like that. I will do what needs to be done but pray that it will be as normal as possible!

I will update after my appointment on Monday! 37 weeks is right around the corner!

Brian and I had a couple of sweet friends that came and did a photo shoot with us. It was really fun. Brian and I had a great time. Needless to say there was a lot of laughing involved. I am sure that we were a hard couple to take pics of!
I am 35 1/2 weeks preg as of today. So far so good. I do hate the night time because it means that I have to lay down and that is close to impossible to lay down and be comfortable. Not to mention that I have to use the potty ever couple of hours. I miss the days of laying on my stomach. That will be one of the first things that I do when I get home from the hospital. I am ready to have this little boy. I am not sure if my stomach can get any bigger. I feel like he is running out of room. I am really enjoying the time that I have right now because I am only working 2 days a week and it is nice to have some time to rest and get ready for Jagger.
We are definitely excited about Jagger joining our family and I know that we can't even try to prepare ourselves for what it is going to be like to have him here. I would like to think that we will adjust easily but I think that I know better.

Oh how time flies!

I am as of tonight 31 1/2 weeks! Where has the time gone. The last 31 weeks have flown by. Well the first 12 weeks were brutal but after the sickness was over time has flown. I have officially gained 20 lbs. Not too bad but still very funny to watch. At my last appointment the sweet nurse tried to keep the big notch on the 100 lb mark and I just laughed and told her that I crossed that bridge the last time I was in and that she needed to go ahead and go to the 150 mark!! She was sweet to say that I didn't look it. I am sure that she tells all the preggies that!!!
Baby Jagger moves all the time. He doesn't move a lot at night while I sleep or if he does I can't tell. He does move alot when I am still though. He is actually move like crazy as I type this!!
It is amazing how much my body has changed. The other night I was trying to roll over and actually got stuck in the position that I was in and Brian had to help me roll over. Oh to be a normal size again. The pregnancy really has been such a blessing in so many ways but I can't wait for him to get here. I get more and more excited when I think about him. He reminds me that he is there often. Every once in a while I will feel an elbow here or a foot there. I haven't seen it as much as I feel it. I will catch him moving around and my belly makes some weird shapes. The first time that Brian saw it his eyes just lit up and he had the cutest look on his face. He is very excited about Jagger coming!

28 Weeks- WOW

I am offically in my third trimester. This pregnancy has really flown by for the most part. Of course at first it felt like it was creeping by because of the sickness but now I feel like I need to put on the brakes a litte. I am getting very excited though about him being here. So much has been going on that I haven't had the time to stop and really think about him, but now I have started to think more about what it will be like when he is here and I am so excited! There is still alot to be done before he gets here but then again isn't that always the case.

Here is a shot of me at 28 weeks. He is a large baby and he is moving alot and now he has managed to make his way around to the right side of my body and if I lay a certain way he kicks me in the hip bone! NICE! He is very active during the day but usually pretty still when I sleep, I think anyway. I am grateful for that. I definilty can feel the weight that I have put on because I just can't move the way I use to or fit into small spaces like before. It happens often for me to get stuck in a place that I use to be able fit through.

Well that is all for now. I have my next appointment in 2 weeks so I will report back on that!!!

Quick Update

I have not been as good at posting as I thought that I would be!! Lots going on I guess. I had a doctors appointment on Sept. 14 and everything is still going well. Praise the Lord. My size is right where it should be for what week I am in and the baby's heart beat is very strong. I was tested for diabetes and I don't have it which was a relief to me for some reason. I guess you just never know what could happen. I can't believe that the baby will be here in around 13 weeks. o much to do before then. I think that Brian and I finally decided on what bedding to get him. That was an ordeal!!!! I wanted "sweet" and he wanted something masculine. It was funny to see how different our taste is. Needless to say Brian told me that I needed to change my"sweet" mindset because he is a boy. We finally found something that we both liked!! That was a miracle!!
OH I guess I could mention too that we decided a name!!!
Jagger Marshall Richardson!! We think with a name like that he can be an athlete or a rock star and not need to change his name! Marshall is after my sweet dad and my grand dad!

23 Weeks!

Here is the side shot at 23 weeks! It keeps getting bigger and bigger. I wake up some mornings and I promise he has grown over night. I am not too uncomfortable as of now. I often think that I am smaller then I really am and get myself stuck in small places. He still moves constantly which is so great. It will be weird when he gets here and I won't feel him anymore. I guess then I will HEAR him. It is scary to think that we only have around 17 more weeks and he will be here. So much to do before he is born. It is going to be a whirlwind. I hope that he is ready to be born into a wild family! :) I am sure he will adjust just fine.

We had another ultrasound on Monday August 13. It was simply amazing to see our little angel!! It really is the coolest thing. There is no way that you can't believe in God when you experience something like this. Brian got to see him more then me but to watch Brian's face light up was just as fun as seeing the baby. The tech said that Cletus was such a good baby and that she wished that all of her babies were as easy as him. I pray he stays that way when he gets here!! He was easy to take pictures of, I guess he gets that from me!!(JK) She did ask me my due date and I told her it was December 22, she said her machine calculated it as being December 14 because of his size. YIKES!!! I had just told Brian that morning that I had a feeling that he was going to be a large baby. I wake up some mornings and I feel like I grew overnight!! Brian was a little over 9lbs and I was 8lbs 1oz so I don't think that Cletus is going to be that petite!
He moves all the time. The other day I was sitting eating lunch and he kicked me so hard it made me jump!! I guess he doesn't like Portabella mushrooms!!! I attached a few new pics of him. We still have not picked out a name for him. His middle name will be Marshall after my dad's middle name and my granddad's first name. So for now he is still Cletus!!! Hopefully by December he will have a first name.

Mover and a Shaker

So as of today I am 20 weeks. Half way there!!! WOO-WHO!! Well- Other then the terrible morning sickness for the first 8 weeks it really is not that bad. My body is changing for sure. I am starting to get uncomfortable these days as things are growing and moving around. Overall I feel great. I am so grateful! I am very excited about this little angel and can't wait until he gets here. There is a lot to do before then though. I am very thankful that the Lord has kept him safe as I have been so mentally and emotionally exhausted with all this stuff with my dad. The Lord is my joy and I am reminded of Him everyday when this little booger moves, which brings me to the title of this post. I felt him move for the first time on July 4 and he has not stopped since. Now I can feel him when I put my hand on my stomach. He is VERY active. Just last night he balled up on one side of my stomach and I could see him over on that side. IT was so great. Brian was asleep so I couldn't share it with him. Anyway, this little guy is high energy!!! It still doesn't seem real until I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and I see my belly!!!!

BOY!!! Brian and I had a "secret" ultrasound when we went to Hunstville to see my dad.(Most of you know that my dad suffered a massive stroke about 3 weeks ago) A friend that works for an OBGYN at the hospital snuck me in and did an ultrasound to check on the little one and we could tell he is a boy. Well she said that she is 95% sure!!!! I have my official ultrasound on August 13. Brian and I are going to tell the doctor that our psychic said that it is a boy and see if we can freak him out!! JK! Needless to say Brian was VERY excited about having a son as was I!!! We have not decided a name but his middle name will be Marshall after my dad and grandad. I also felt him move on July 4 while I was trying to take a nap. I feel him move often. It has been really great to know that he is a boy. There is something about knowing what the sex is that makes it much more real and that much more personal. Now I know he is my little boy!!! He is really growing as am I! Brian loves my belly. I sure am glad because it is only going to get bigger. Brian was around 9lb 8oz when he was born and I was 8lbs 1oz. I have a feeling Cletus (new name for him until we decide one) is going to be large!!!! YIKES!

Baby Update

As of now I am a little over 13 weeks. I went to the doctor for the second time on Friday June 15th. I got to hear the heartbeat and it was the most amazing thing to me. Everything is going really well. It is weird the moment that you hear the heartbeat it just makes it that much more real to you. I have been feeling better after about 8 weeks of constant sickness. I just woke up the day before I was 12 weeks along and felt like a totally different person. Like someone flipped a switch. I have much more energy and can do more then I was able to for so long. I am so grateful for that. You take for granted your health and how well you feel until you are constantly sick for so long.

I have added the ultrasound pic from my first doctor's visit in May. That was an incredible visit too because we got to see the little critter. BTW we do refer to the baby as "Baby Manny". Regular Manny (the dog) is really excited to be a big brother!! Actually we are afraid that he is in for the shock of his life when Baby Manny comes along b/c then he will be a dog for a while until we get use to having 2 little critters to take care of!!!

I am sure that it will be entertaining for everyone!! As most everyone knows I am pregnant and as of today I am a little over 11 weeks. I think that I am coming out of the sickness part of this!
